Pegasus #1
Ed.: Sean Rigby, Jan Rigby, Judy Hendricks & Melissa Bayard, Pegasus Press, Tinley Park, IL. 180p. Second printing November 1976.
"This, Our Infinity" (p. 3-47) / Judi Hendricks
Spock is "off his feed" again but this time he's made plans and has a half-Vulcan bride conveniently waiting on a nearby planet. While they are off honeymooning, Kirk & McCoy's party are caught in a recoite mine cave-in and rescued when highly-telepathic Meriel picks up a mental distress call from McCoy. During the rescue, Meriel is injured in turn, and saved by McCoy's potions in concert with Spock's melding. Nothing sterling, but good solid characterization, a nice read.
"Snake in the Grass" (p.55-64) / Judi Hendricks & Jan Rigby
Lt. Dale Kirk, in charge of the ship's lab animals, is plagued by a large snake no one else can see - a remnant from the Shore Leave planet. Cute.
"The Second Step" (p.67-69) / Mark Sharpe
Essay on space program.
"T'Pring's Decision" (p. 71-80) / Melissa Bayard
T'Pring's choice to obtain Stonn as a suitable mate in her family business goes awry when Stonn, though he would have fought for her, refuses to have her once she has lost face and status.
"From Out the Past" (p.93-143) / Jan Rigby
Kirk's unease about a mission to Camus II (of Turnabout Intruder) is borne out when a vengeful mad scientist (in league with Klingons) traps Spock into using a machine that allows him to take over his mind. Spock fights him off with the help of Scott's blocking devices and a meld with Kirk. Used up a lot of plot devices... but good characterization makes for a pleasant read.
"The Wait" (p. 144-147) / Melissa Bayard
Vignette of Scotty crashed on a planet sending his last signals for rescue.
"Abrasions & Contusions" (p. 151-168) / M. Octyme
Surrealistic farce of 'Sock' being killed in various ways. More tedious than funny.

Filks:
Tribble Tune (Supercalifragilist...) / M. Octyme
Text to the filksongs from Leslie Fish's 'Folk Songs for Folk Who Ain't Even Been Yet'
